The Lobster Kettle Restaurant in Louisbourg – Nova Scotia was one of our best meals during our 10 day visit to the East Coast.

Located on the water with a great view of the Louisbourg Fortress across the harbor. It was mid afternoon and we enjoyed a table on the deck watching the boats come and go and taking in the clean sea air. Being mid afternoon we ordered 4 seafood appetizers as opposed to a full meal. The chowder was terrific as were the other appetizers.

The service was good and the owner was friendly. Ask when the place was built and he’ll pull our his photo album of the ground-breaking and construction start to finish. He is very proud of his restaurant and it shows.

Our only regret is that we would have loved to have had the room for a full meal.
